Motorola’s new Edge 20 premium series of premium phones consists of three handsets, with the Edge 20 Lite and the entry-level flagship Edge 20 Pro covering the upper and middle classes.
The most affordable model, the EDGE 20 Lite, costs 349 euros and uses the MediaTek Dimensity 5G B chip, has a 6.7-inch OLED with a slower but faster refresh rate of 90 Hz, and dispenses with the telephoto camera, and has a larger 5,000 mAh battery.
The cameras come with a 108MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera for selfies. The Edge 20 uses a 108MP main sensor and receives a high-resolution 16MP ultra-wide macro and 8MP 3x optical zoom Telephoto Camera.
Edge 20 Pro replaces the telephoto and telephoto cameras with the 8MP 5x optical zoom periscope module and uses the same 108MP and 16MP sensors for both full and ultra-wide applications.
RAM speed is Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and it supports fast storage to give fast system performance. It has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory, which is expandable using microSDXC.
The phone has a 6.7-inch 90Hz OLED screen, a 5,000 mAh battery, the aforementioned 30W fast-charging system, and a triple camera system. The Edge 20 Pro, Edge 20 and Edge 20 Lite models support sub-6 GHz 5G, feature a 108-megapixel front camera, and have a 7.6-inch OLED screen with faster refresh rates.
All three devices feature a 10.8MP main camera with Nona Binning and Samsung’s ISOcell HM2, a 32MP selfie camera with a hole cut-out for 5G and a higher refresh rate, an OLED screen, and 30W wireless charging with the included charger.
The screen has a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, and the images are bright and clear. There is also a single camera angle with digital zoom, automatic flash, face detection, and touch focus.
With the MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset, the baby of the new Edge device series pulls out all the power and, at 5,000 mAh, has the largest battery of the three phones. The biggest upgrade over the Lite model is the chipset, which displays a smooth refresh rate of 144Hz, and it is also Motorola’s thinnest 5G phone, which so far stands at just 69.9mm.
Inside Edge 20 Lite is the Dim Density 720 Power chip that you’d expect from a phone at its price, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Motorola has left the device at 82.5 mm and it weighs 185g. However, the company has opted for a thinner 69.9mm design, resulting in a phone with a 4,000 mAh battery.
The major shift from the standard Edge 20 to the Pro model is with the introduction of Motorola’s first periscopic camera system, which gives the phone 5x optical zoom and 50x superzoom.
All Edge 20 models also use the new ReadyFor PC mode that allows you to create a miniature desktop for your Windows 10 device. Ready for PC allows you to connect your smartphone to an external display and use your apps and games on a larger screen.
The Motorola edge 20 will be launched on August 17th, 2021 in India with an official starting price of Rs 34,999. This is a Motorola phone with a powerful core and it allows you to enjoy the smooth and easy performance while accessing multiple applications on the phone.
This device is a good choice for people who use Android 11 OS and it is worth buying it as the price of the phone is quite cheap.
The basic version of the Edge-20 series provides access to Android v1.1 OS and 5G-enabled network connections. The device has a dual SIM card slot, so you can use services of different carriers with 2 numbers.
